I've got a great routine going with my craft supplies, really enjoying experimenting with my games workshop paints and Valero acrylics side by side. The little packets I use for mixing my colors have been perfect for this. It's always nice to tidy up and get a fresh batch ready for the next project.

they came earlier than expected, which is certainly a sign that they're not made with iron, but I'm assuming that's just a coating and not actually plated.

I'll give each one a saltwater test for 48 hours and then post my final opinion later. If I find out how well they're plated, I may end up giving them 5 stars.

As long as they're properly coated, I should be able to get the job done perfectly, even if some of them don't hold up so well in saltwater solution. I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time before some of them start to show signs of rust and one is particularly bad, but I won't be deterred.

UPDATE: it's been almost 48 hours and I've tested all the ones in an saltwater solution - about 8 started to show slight discoloration, while one was pretty much a disaster. In each one, there's a gap in the outer stainless steel layer that looks like it might have cracked due to damage.

The rest of them seem to be holding up nicely, but I'm more concerned with getting my money back if they don't work as expected.

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the ball bearings included in my purchase - about 100 of them, no less! It's clear that the manufacturer prioritized performance over price. I've been using these little guys for years on various Tamiya models, and they consistently deliver a smooth ride. The MIG set itself is top-notch, but it's the tiny details like this that make me love it even more.
