The Crusader Mk III was a British cruiser-tank that entered production in mid-1942 and served through the North Africa campaign. Weighing about 44,000 lbs. While its firepower was much improved over previous Crusaders, its armor remained light relative to German AFVs, and it continued to suffer from reliability and overheating issues, especially in desert conditions.
