For what seems like an outrageous price, the resulting colours were unexpectedly vibrant and strong. The dye kit included sachets that needed to be put into a specific bottle and mixed with water - ensure they're labelled correctly before you start. It's worth noting that fixing the colour is as simple as tightening both the nozzle and cap before shaking it up.

The kit came with an impressive array of materials, including elastic bands, gloves, and a table cover. The instruction leaflet was available in several languages, but I only had time to get through two pages - there's more info if you dig deeper. Pre-dyeing some of the clothing beforehand made the process much easier.

Working with this kit required using supermarket tees and pre-washing them before dyeing. When it came to rinsing, I found that hand rinsing followed by a thorough machine rinse was ideal for removing excess dye. The vibrancy faded slightly - not as much as I'd expected.

Given the potential for dye fade, I think this kit is worth experimenting with before investing in really expensive dyes. It's particularly suitable when working with children, as adults may find it easier to mix the colours themselves. A fair amount of fabric could be dyed from a single pack - approximately 400g dry weight should be achievable.

The bottles can be reused multiple times after rinsing them out and putting them back in the fridge for later use. The remaining dye will likely remain good for around a week, so I'll probably plan to use it within that timeframe.

The DIY set exceeded my expectations and provided all the necessary components for a delightful afternoon with our little ones. The kids had a blast with this tie dye kit, bringing their own shirts made from multiple colours was a great idea for the school holidays. It took some experimentation to get them to tie the rubber bands in just the right way but the end result was well worth it.

As we watched our children create unique patterns and styles on their T-shirts, they were completely absorbed in the process. The instructions provided clear step-by-step guidance, which made it easy for them to follow along. It's amazing how something so simple can be so therapeutic.

We're thrilled with the number of colours available - there are hundreds to choose from and our kids were able to create a whole range of different patterns. We've had to do this activity multiple times now because we just can't get enough of their creations.

One thing that really made this kit stand out was the protective sheet included, which kept everything safe while they worked. With so many colours available, it's easy to see why they were able to create such a variety of different patterns and styles on their T-shirts. We've already ordered another batch for future use - our kids are hooked!
