Cessna L-19 Bird Dog. The winning entry, submitted by Jack A. Swayze, an industrial photographer, was selected by a U.S. Army board. High quality laser cut balsa pieces. It remains a civilian-flown warbird aircraft, and there are examples in aviation museums.
